ECU cloning tool for used control units

Anyone here doing ECU cloning on used control units? I often get cars where the original ECU is dead, and customers bring a used one from eBay. I’m looking for a tool that can read EEPROM and flash from the original unit and write it to the donor safely — something that works with Bosch ME and EDC types. Any recommendations from experience?
